I-CAN Run, a collaborative event with Incline After-School Organization and the Incline High School Athletic Program, continues the community tradition for runners and walkers of all ages. This year we encourage anyone who is using wheels for mobility to join in so don't forget your stroller, walker or wheelchair if you're willing to roll along with us. Bring the whole family and of course the dog for a nice run/walk with your friends through the neighborhoods of Incline Village.

I-CAN Run/Walk benefits our local youth and free programs that keep kids safe, learning and active after-school. This year's I-CAN Run/Walk & Roll is a collaborative event with Incline After-School Organization (IAO) and the Incline High School Athletic Program.

Our art contest theme this year is: "I can Do Anything" and we have added the Roll to the Run/Walk making the 28th Annual I-CAN event, the I-CAN Do Anything Run/Walk & Roll event.

This "Roll" sound has encouraged our organizers to provide live Rock & Roll entertainment throughout the event featuring both famous and yet-to-be recognized entertainers.

The 7th Annual Youth Talent Show will hold auditions after the award ceremony, so you may also be treated to singing, dancing and comedy, if you care to stick around.

All I-CAN entrants receive the 28th Annual I-CAN Run/Walk & Roll T-shirt.

In addition to live music, enjoy cotton candy, snow cones, water, soda & snack, great race prizes and plenty of swag for our many sponsors

Race winners receive awards and prizes.

5K & 10K Run: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded for both male and female runners. All times will be posted and medals and gift certificates will be presented to the top three male and female winners in each age division all at the same time. All medal winners will have their group picture taken at 11:45 am

who is I-CAN?

Yesterday
ICAN, Incline Community Action Network, began as an effort by involved citizens of Incline Village to raise money for local schools and programs that benefit all local youth. Programs have come and gone over the last 28 years, but the support for the I-CAN has been consistent throughout the community. What began through the efforts of the initial group of advocates continues today as a way for all the citizens of Incline Village and Crystal Bay to join in supporting our local youth.

Today
The 28th running of the I-CAN, in collaboration with Incline After-School Organization and the Incline High School Athletic Program, promises to continue as the premier Incline Village/Crystal Bay community wide event. All proceeds from the I-CAN go to benefit the free after-school activities of Incline After-School Organization and the Incline High School Athletic Program.

Indeed, after 28 years there are several thousand people who have lived at Lake Tahoe or love to visit Lake Tahoe and ran in this historic race that benefits youth. If you are one of our I-CAN Alumni, please return this year to run, walk or roll at the 1st official I-CAN Reunion.

If you love Lake Tahoe and the idea of benefiting today's youth with positive, free after-school alternatives to TV, video games or dangerous experimenting, please join the locals of Incline Village and Crystal Bay and celebrate, "I Can Do Anything" at this year's Run, Walk & Roll…

x-stream clean

IAO, in collaboration with Waste Not, provided the organization for the X-Stream Clean event that for five years taught local youth and adults that if 1,000 people invest one hour each, they can accomplish tons, or in the case of the X-Stream Clean, they removed more than 15 tons of litter from Incline's beaches, streams, streets and forests over the five-year event.

In celebration of this past collaboration, Waste Not has joined the I-CAN team and will create an opportunity for entrants to receive a pedometer for measuring walking distance, which they can keep and use at the I-CAN event to create their own 5K course and clean while they walk. Waste-Not will provide all the necessary clean-up supplies and be on hand to make this year's I-CAN a zero-waste event.
